    Toronto Pearson International Airport

https://www.mississauga.com/news-story/9209048--our-work-is-not-over-pearson-international-airport-voted-best-large-airport-in-north-america/ I’d struggle to believe this, except for the fact that the comparison is limited to North American airports, most of which are admittedly shite. Small...

    That’s quite reasonable.

I read patriotism into your post because you mention that Alphabet is foreign. You imply that’s a problem. I say the fact that they’re a US company is irrelevant. Your observation about Alphabet’s nationality is as asinine as saying Brookfield shouldn’t be allowed to develop Hudson Yards...

You know, patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. As for those bastards at Uber, if that’s an example of nefarious foreigners upending the natural order of mediocrity and dysfunction in Toronto, I say bring on the foreigners.

Why should Sidewalk’s corporate nationality matter? Foreigners = bad? Make Toronto Great Again?

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Not to mention statues to that bastard Abraham Lincoln. He wanted to ship American blacks back to Africa. Racist scumbag...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Your choice will between Trudeau’s more or less proven sleaze or Scheer’s complete lack of policy and conviction. You could vote Green or NDP, but while they might win some ridings including yours, they don’t have a chance to form a government. So, four more years of Quebec corruption, chaps.

Toronto’s Disappearing Main Streets: Buildings and Businesses

It depends on the level of the tax. Commercial landlords are pretty rational, so at the margin this proposal should nudge them to reduce parking in the long run. At least some of those vast surface lots could be redeveloped to higher and more profitable uses.

    Toronto Queens Quay & Water's Edge Revitalization | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

The subtext here seems so be that Toronto drivers are incapable of dealing with a level of complexity that’s pretty moderate by the standards of cities outside of North America.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

The City could install cameras to monitor driver compliance, as they do all along the 333 bus lane along Oxford Street in Sydney. Of course, for behaviour to change the cameras would have to be monitored and fines would have to be high.

    Toronto Sidewalk Toronto at Quayside | ?m | ?s | Sidewalk | Snøhetta

I agree completely with SIT when he writes, “I see a lot of excuses...I see very little competence...other than some playing stupid and thinking it will work.” Except that I would apply that description to every major transit infrastructure decision the City has funded over the past 45 years...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Surely the best solution is to have a TTC inspector at every single fare gate to check that people are using the proper card.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

My God! That’s never happened before in Canadian politics!
