There are now no lights on in any of the units. Just some reflections from street lights. Some people appear to have left window coverings behind.

Apparently the Italian resto will not be opening there after all. Currently the talk is that a bartender at Boutique Bar, who also use to work at Flash, is opening a new bar there(former Blyss/Church on Church location)

They’ve been in the news recently regarding financial troubles. The people at Eyes on Church have said they will be moving across the street to where David’s Tea is.

The new place called "The Drink" is currently a cafe type place with coffee, sandwiches, cakes etc... and is open until 7pm most nights. Once they get their liquor licence it will be open until 2 am and become more of a bar. The coffee and cakes will likely become secondary fare or disappear...

You know we have to assume that somewhat intelligent people are in charge of this company. If that's the case then using the word renovations in the sign on the door would be more appropriate. But they chose to say "Closed for Repairs" which makes me think a pipe burst maybe or a fridge broke...

Looks like the owner of O'Grady's may be opening a new bar called The Drink upstairs where the Healthy Greek used to be located. I think it was most recently the home of Urge. Many bars have been located here in the past but for a long time it was a great burrito place called Chino Locos.

The current rumour as to what is going in at this location is as follows. It's been said that the building was actually sold and not leased. The buyer is thought to be a Vancouver based restaurant chain which has then led people to speculate that it will be an "Earls" Time will tell. They have...

I know, I really should make more of an effort. I've had access to this balcony for 22 years. I'll post an earlier photo of 66 Isabella.

This is typical looking but an improvement over previous renders. So it looks safe and none too exciting. Residents nearby would be very happy to see a grocery store go in there. The closest one now is the Sobey's in the incredibly busy plaza on The Queensway across from the sewage treatment...

The door of the now closed Yefseis (just north of Wellesley-East side of Church) has been turned into a window. Perhaps the Crepe place is being expanded into one unit with the old Yefseis space. Surprisingly the person I saw working inside was not the owner of the Crepe store but the Greek man...

When pressed for time, going up to Church/Bloor can be too far for a Tim Horton's steeped tea fix. The quality debate can go on forever but I don't think Starbucks has to worry. It's Country Style across the street that should worry the most. The new owner of Timothy's ,down the street, takes...

A good friend of mine works for a company that owns 6 Wendy's and 7 Tim Horton's. He tells me that the other half of Zelda's has been leased to Tim Horton's. Sorry that's all I have.

Ahh, yes. The 80's. When everybody was banging everyone else. I've heard this said before. More often about the 70's. I had either the luck or misfortune of hearing about this new virus before graduating from high school and while still a virgin. So I never did enjoy this period of bliss that my...
