    Church-Wellesley Village

Has anyone else been following this thread? I just came across is today. Looks like a historic building near the corner of Church and Wellesley is set to be demolished. The property was sold for $4.5 million, which screams future condo. This is really worrisome...

    Toronto Eighty One Wellesley | 97.53m | 28s | Aragon Properties | Core Architects

OMG, this is hugely sad and frustrating. I just came across this thread -- obviously later than I'd like. So is the white building gone? Church St seriously needs some sort of designation that would preserve its character. You think these condo dwellers who move in are going to welcome the...

    Toronto Gramercy Park Condos | ?m | 12s | Malibu Investments | P + S / IBI

This project is turning out to look quite nice! I'm impressed. My sister bought a unit here, and while they're behind schedule it's looking good (at least from the outside). Finally maybe there'll be some life on Wilson.

    Transit City Plan

OK, that was actually a great video. Very realistic and revealing. Good on Augimeri!

    Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

I've been hunting for the final report that relates to this development. Does anyone have the link? I can't seem to find it! grrr

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

Checked out the new store today, and it really is quite stunning! It's absolutely HUGE and designed for the downtown shopper in mind. Great addition to the area.

    Toronto Gramercy Park Condos | ?m | 12s | Malibu Investments | P + S / IBI

Haha. My sister bought into this condo. I believe there is a park in the middle -- the courtyard. Not sure what "Gramercy Park" actually is, but there is at least a park in the middle. I'm glad to see this building finally going up. They were working at a snails pace several months ago. It...

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

New LCBO? Giddy up!! I can't wait for the Loblaws to open as well. It'll be nice to have a big, reasonably priced grocery store nearby.

    1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

I finally got to ride one! I really liked the ride. Very smooth. Spacious and bright interior. I wasn't on during rush hour, so I can't comment on how it functioned when it was busy, but it was a great ride! Anyone notice that the brakes feel a bit different from the old trains? I figure it's...

+1 Love it or hate it, I appreciate its originality and its out-of-the-box design.

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

I'm thinking Tower 2 should have been taller, but Tower 1 shorter. It really is overwhelming compared its surroundings. It amazes me how this thing got approved. I wonder what the history behind it is.

Err, what do we mean by "Fins"? I thought the Four Seasons was a hotel, not a fish. =P

    M1 + M2 + Metropolis + Parkside Condos (Liberty Development) - Real Estate -

There's a little variety store just behind the gas station on the northwest corner of Wilson Heights and Shepperd, and it seems to have everything, although I'm not sure about fresh food. I went in looking for potatoes once though and they had them!!

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

What a monster!! It stands out from the skyline like no other building (except maybe the CN Tower). It's just sooo tall compared to its surroundings. Wow. And I'm amazed that it's STILL going higher! Looks like they're doing the mechanical work now. It's gotta be closed to done now!

    Church-Wellesley Village

Interesting questions. I wonder if it'll be like Byzantium or those other restos nearby (Fusion, Voglie (now Sugo), which serve food but turn into pubs/dance bars at night. Maybe the strictly bar thing wasn't generating enough profit for Straight? Having the restaurant lets the business make a...

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

Can someone post a pic of these potential renderings that are said to be located on the site?? Thanks

    Church-Wellesley Village

I noticed Acme Burger opened up too. It's a bit of a disappointment, and the patio won't be used as it was with Zeldas, but if their food is decent it'll probably stay in business. My partner and I noticed the Crepe place the other day! We went inside just to look around and it really was...

    Church-Wellesley Village

Hah! Never heard of "gayrea" before. It's neat. But it sounds like an STD. =S

    Church-Wellesley Village

Haha, cool renderings! I gotta say though that I think I prefer it the way it is. I feel like the narrow streets would give it too much of a residential feel rather than an important street. Almost like Kensington -- very cramped. Having said that, I'd love to see the city close of Church...

    Church-Wellesley Village

I noticed that "Smith" sign too. It's been there awhile. Not sure what the hell is going on there. Also, maybe this is late news, but are they seriously opening up another burger joint in the former Zelda's site? That seems like a waste, when Hero burger is across the street, and when...
