    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

But UT told me this assumption is preposterous.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Just walked from Parliament to Yonge. Zero buses. Just one out of service. Tons of cars driving through tho. Excellent transit service. What an embarrassment.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

You are suggesting that a decision to take public transit should require improved media literacy. Do you realize how absurd that would make our city.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

This. People at work from out of town (zoom meetings!) are telling me how crazy the TTC is. All the political and philosophical musings going on is part of the problem. Every time we see a problem, we have a crowd that insists we don’t have enough data to be 100% certain of the problem framing...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Yes. We will use feelings to get ourselves out of this situation.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Agreed. Continuing to describe is as a “systemic” issue has just stalled problem solving. The TTC need to improve its role in this.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Leading indicators. As in the increase in homelessness and drug use - readily available, not lagging which is actual incidents (TPS data). It’s funny how much people complain about design when all they rely on is lagging indicators. And lol on tone when you can be quite dismissive yourself.

    How sad. Another data point.

    Some more interesting data: https://www.blogto.com/city/2023/01/reasons-people-toronto-prefer-driving-public-transit/

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Glad it took people dying and getting hurt to convince you. What are some human lives for the sake of data. This is why trust is eroding in policy-makers or the "management" folks. They get hurt while you wait for data.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The leading indicators were clear, but like most anglo bureaucracies, we prefer for wait for lagging indicators (I.e., people stabbed or killed) so we have enough data to think about maybe, possibly, doing something. My choice to bike in warm weather and drive and Uber in winters looks better...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Hey there. Want some PB with that jelly? Joke aside, the cars find alternative routes vs the busses and streetcars that just mouth breath in traffic. Fact is the TTC doesn’t really understand the point of transit is to get from A to B and not just stall uncontrollably or randomly short turn and...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

lol who uses radio anymore anyways - I walked by many who didn't also know the King car wasn't running on the way to take the subway so clearly I'm not the only one. However, I did let them know because I volunteer for the TTC now apparently. Also, an Uber on a Sunday is a 20-25 minute ride...

    Peak Toronto.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Lol okay. This is why I only take Uber XLs. Feel super safe in the tanks they drive. What this has to do with King is beyond me. Anyways. Tried to be a good person and took the King car today. Water main problems turned a 30 minute trip into 60. Safe to say i am in a comfy Lincoln on the...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

You do know that this fundamentally incentivizes everyone to drive larger cars and safer cars, increasing traffic - even for short distances.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I mean, you did go to drug central - Yonge and Dundas Square. It's so amusing how precious they are over streetcars and safety, but refuse to do traffic calming measures for cars. Agreed that the experience matters. On the TTC, you are expected. to have to resuscitate heart attack victims...

Not possible, Google maps said you never have to wait.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

So Spring 2024. Post-pandemic Toronto folks. Welcoming us back with less infrastructure, higher taxes and more danger.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The Queen car is an on-street amusement park ride except for those unfortunate enough to rely on it. About two to three times a week, the 504 still has that huge gap of ~10 minutes due to bunching. The subway has been less optimistic, every ride last week had a technical problem, a disruptive...
