    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I take it that the courses are conducted in modules and there is a separate module for the operation of the vehicle. why cant they all take that module together and the trainers then stay for their additional training to be instructors? this first batch or operators/trainers will all be coming...

Well if they want to open at the end of the year, every month counts

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Here's the kicker... in order for garbage trucks to be able to pick up the bins with the hydraulic claws they need to illegally drive up the now "wrong" side of the road since they are right side only.... Just further proof that city planning did not think this through lol

    VIA Rail

You could say the same for amtraks heritage schemes. But then again most of the people who could relate to the old via schemes are either in their geriatric years or dead so who cares? It's just like air canada painting their plans in the original Trans canada airlines scheme. No one can relate...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Im really wondering why they cant do concurrent activity and train the first batch of ttc operators with the trainers. they all will learn how to drive the trains and the only major difference is that the trainers will take additional training to teach. they just missed a big opportunity to...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

This is an example of the ridiculous overdesigb of some of these bike lanes. Ferrand Drive has been butchered by these new painted lines. See how the divider is WIDER than the bike lane itself. There will never be enough bike traffic to warrant a LEFT TURN LANE and to cut a road in half. Even if...

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

That's fine but why would it be necessary for ML owned track when cp/cn shouldn't have the say on this. Just another unnecessary expenditure

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

on a related note i find it appalling but unsurprising how after over 10 years they still havnt converted everything to pantos yet... more dragging of their heels on infrastructure upgrades

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

Is there any indication on when that will actually happen or are they dragging their heels on this? its been over 2years since they announced the award

how are they going to finish the track? will they pour a concrete topping or go the ECT way and use grass?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

similar to the situation with the roadworks on 16th ave across from the former buttonville airport. its taken so long to construct that the brand new short stubby street lights designed based on the run way restrictions are obsolete before they even get a chance to power on since theres no...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I have a feeling that many of the public are shuddering at this method given the negative impact it has been for yonge/eglinton. Sure it's not quite the same but to the general uneducated public they all see everything from the same lens

    VIA Rail

While it's great that we have been trying to catch up this last decade the unfortunate thing is that it has been catch up. What they are trying to do now is something that should've been done 30 years ago when you're comparing population density and city size. Still a long long way to go

    VIA Rail

Seems like their oil lobbyists over there weren't as strong or they had a more progressive culture. Somewhere in the 1960s onwards it seemed like we just gave up any ambition to expand our infrastructure

    VIA Rail

Well it's not like we had nothing.... we had a huge rail network. Even our cities had extensive suburban rail for streetcars and inter urban trains. It's mainly politically driven and also thanks to automobile lobbyists
