    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

Call me crazy but i'm not a fan of this thing at all. It's way too fat. They need to slice it down the middle. Because of the width, it looks stubby and when you're driving in from the east, it just looks like a massive wall of glass and i'm terrified to think what it'll look like once tower...

hopefully they ease up a bit in the future. My thoughts are they overkilled the restrictions because there's a large group of people that were against it and claimed the sky was falling. It also had to go through the senate where the conservative senators voted against it in bloc no matter...

this looks a lot better than I thought. I'm always wandering the concourse out there (getting a $5 beer and hotdog) and it's nice that i can just stand and watch from there now. Stadium still sucks but I can appreciate these small changes.

is 21 Bloor Street East part of this building? If so, there's a Tokyo Smoke going into it. https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/ten-tokyo-smoke-licensee-retail-cannabis-stores-to-open-in-ontario-in-early-2020-898396410.html

that's arguably my favourite building in the country. I had no idea it was intended to have vines.

    Toronto KING Toronto | 57.6m | 16s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

the owner of a penthouse suite at KING probably isn't worried about the maintenance of a Sumac tree in all fairness.

I love the looks of the lights in the renders, the only issue is it's really flawed. it's an office tower. those elevators will be moving from 8-6 and then be largely still (during the hours where you can see the lights the most)

    60 Bloor West Re-cladding (Morguard, 14s, B+H)

used to work in this building. the facade was dated and ugly, but i actually prefer it to this...

probably delayed because somebody threw away the napkin accidentally.

yea, a roof is mandatory. I think the Rogers Centre was built backwards. It was built as an indoor stadium that can be opened. It should be built as an outdoor stadium that can be closed.

looking at those photos, it could also feel better if they removed the 200 - 500 levels AROUND the hotel and scoreboard and replaced it with a glass wall. I'm thinking sort of what Miller Park in Milwaukee looks like when their roof is snapped shut.

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

i think the existing location would be perfect. for that to happen, the team would have to play away for 1 or 2 seasons which risks the fanbase a bit. for a reno, i think it would open right up if they were to buy the renaissance hotel, tear it down, and replace it with glass and windows (open...

I don't think orientation matters too much any more provided studies are done. The new Atlanta Braves ballpark, Suntrust Park, has a Southeast orientation

I live next door at NXT and all I want is a little bit of retail whether it's in this building, or the ones across Windermere that are proposed
