    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

For me, it's mostly to get road salt residue off in the winter to prevent corrosion. Also to keep my clothes clean when navigating tight parking spaces. And to have a nice, shiny ride. I prefer washing by hand. But in the winter I'll go through the car wash for obvious reasons and get the...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Sorry to keep this OT, but I 100% agree. The track keeps the line moving, which is why I go to the car wash at Millwood and Redway. Only when there is no line up will I go to the other style. Otherwise I am waiting 2-3 minutes per vehicle minimum. When you can count 10 vehicles waiting (and...

Is the old bridge staying or will it be removed to raise the tracks and provide additional clearance above Queen St?

I love this building. Thanks for sharing these pics!

This a sketch I did showing current height of The One relative to other buildings in the City. It appears that the floor for level 74 has been poured. Two more floor pours then The One will overtake 1BE (as noted by @Rascacielo the core has surpassed 1BE). The base drawing I have is the...

    2912 - 2926 Sheppard Ave E | ?m | ?s| Hazelview Investments

Another Ward 22 commercial plaza to bite the dust. Sure, they are not the most urban-friendly with surface parking out front. But they provide affordable commercial space and local retail and services to the surrounding community. The non-residential spaces being proposed in these redevelopments...

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

I do not follow all the details of their service plan, but Saturday, September 21st was when full revenue service was launched, as in all trains are electric. I believe the first train to be in revenue service was on August 11th per Caltrain's tweet. My brother in law's first ride was August 28th.

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

My brother-in-law takes this almost every day to go to work. Thinks they are great. He shed a very small tear on the last in-service Gallery train

    Riverdale

I used to live right beside Langford Parkette, and was living there when the new playground was constructed. I am glad they were able to preserve most of the trees. Some of the trees along the south side by the playground actually keep the 12' fence from falling down, along with the hydro pole...

    Toronto 95 Pidgeon | 13.49m | 3s | Rexton Development Ltd | TAES

To be fair, these are fairly simple street townhouses to construct being slab on grade (no basements) and wood-framed. Pidgeon Street was constructed years ago with the Mattamy townhouses, which also included the various services (water, sanitary, gas, hydro, etc.) and service connections to...

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

Well now, that's a 45 second walk from me. Perhaps a little too close!

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

Actually, I am quite happy about this as there is nowhere within a 20-min walk from me to get beer (that's not from a bar).

How visible are the boundaries between the former Metro municipalities today?

I get a lot of nods on the street when I wear my "Kid From Scarborough" tee. I also got the Deltatron tee, but the cut (fit) is terrible and the ink on the back makes the shirt way too heavy. I would have returned but lost the receipt.

The AIC website still has supporting documentation for the taller building. https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/planning-development/application-details/?id=4855702&pid=230049&title=1-BLOOR-ST-W Unfortunately the City replaced all the architectural plans with only 3 sheets (which are still...

    Toronto 1 Tudor Gate | 11m | 3s | 2638212 Ontario Inc | TAES

The rezoning applications were approved in June 2021. There were some additional minor variances approved in May 2024 to allow the parking spaces to be enclosed in private garages. Link to AIC

    Toronto 2721 Danforth Avenue | 190.5m | 59s | Tri-Metro Investments | RAW Design

Is this just temporary? I thought they had plans to relocate back to their current location once that site was redeveloped.

    Toronto Media Landscape and Personalities

I love how they included The Beaverton. And that there are people that actually trust a satirical news outlet as a reliable source.

    Downtown Markham

"Downtown Markham" is just Remington's marketing name for their development. It's no different than "CityPlace" or "Parkside Village"

Perhaps. Again, it was one time so perhaps it was changed. I do remember waiting to right from commissioners to Cherry thinking the no right on red was infuriating.
