Shifting growth to the suburbs is not a bad thing either, in fact it's what we want. There are many growth centres that could easily handle intensification, and avenues that have long stretches ripe for development.

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Those routes don't quite go into the heart of the campus like before, they mostly just go around the perimeter. Actually, it looks as if it's the most logical way to loop the routes. Go the long way around the campus but also service the university and two subway stops at once, instead of...

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

I was there today and there was no line to get in.

There would have been a time where I would have been impressed by this but now it just looks like someone made a collage of recent projects/proposals.

I have always really likes this building actually, has a nice 50s-60s modern look to it. @Northern Light That's because its decor is in the structure, not tacked on ornament that could be placed anywhere. Not saying you have to like it, but I think having a diversity of historical architecture...

Highest taking into account the altitude?

I normally only go as far as voicing my displeasure with a project on UT but this is so underwhelming that it's inspired me to at least write an email to someone. Waterfront Toronto you say?

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I must say it does seem to make more sense in places where there are already several unites divided up within individual houses.

Passing through Trois-Rivieres, Quebec yesterday I noticed quite a few new low-rise apartment buildings. There are of course several old ones, they are pretty common in Quebec, but it was interesting seeing new ones...

Toronto Nathan Phillips Square + Spirit Garden | City of Toronto

Forgive me if it's a repetitive question but what is going to happen to the gravel patch? Is it still going to be a greenspace, and if so why hasn't work progressed on it?

I like the simple design but I think I might find it too tall. Don't like the bowl planter though, neat idea but I think people ought to be able to interact with the trees in such a small space.

Instead of a bottle it could perhaps be cylindrical and be shaped like a barrel/keg. Glass cylinder > glass box.

York Region Transit: Viva service thread

That, or they could have previously tapped from either another VIVA bus or RT bus in the last 2 hours.

Was surprised and then I remembered how two Halloween's ago I went to a friend-of-a-friend's place in this building for a get together and there were several people in the lobby loudly, openly bragging about how much "blow" they had. Shame really, had quite the view from the balcony.

    Toronto Pinnacle on Adelaide | 144.47m | 46s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Wow that's awful. Even if it isn't necessarily a POPS thing, this just highlights some of the problems that may arise. Call me old-fashioned but I think publicly accessible space should be publicly owned.

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Hence the very intentionally placed "If", and most importantly "somehow".

    Toronto skyline

Nice! But the Mirvish-Gehry proposal is only two towers now. http://urbantoronto.ca/database/projects/mirvishgehry-toronto

If taking this long somehow relates to ensuring the balcony glass is properly installed and doesn't fall in the future than by all means they should take their time.
