Shifting growth to the suburbs is not a bad thing either, in fact it's what we want. There are many growth centres that could easily handle intensification, and avenues that have long stretches ripe for development.

I have always really likes this building actually, has a nice 50s-60s modern look to it. @Northern Light That's because its decor is in the structure, not tacked on ornament that could be placed anywhere. Not saying you have to like it, but I think having a diversity of historical architecture...

Forgive me if it's a repetitive question but what is going to happen to the gravel patch? Is it still going to be a greenspace, and if so why hasn't work progressed on it?

I like the simple design but I think I might find it too tall. Don't like the bowl planter though, neat idea but I think people ought to be able to interact with the trees in such a small space.

Was surprised and then I remembered how two Halloween's ago I went to a friend-of-a-friend's place in this building for a get together and there were several people in the lobby loudly, openly bragging about how much "blow" they had. Shame really, had quite the view from the balcony.

Wow that's awful. Even if it isn't necessarily a POPS thing, this just highlights some of the problems that may arise. Call me old-fashioned but I think publicly accessible space should be publicly owned.
