    Doors Open 2010

I checked out the Roundhouse today, pretty cool. I'm wondering why there isn't much discussion on this thread, I thought urban Toronto would be all over this. I do think the limited time/hours takes away from it though.

2 Ossington (@ Queen, NDS Properties, 4s, SMV Architects)

What the hell happened here yesterday? There was like a major collapse of the boarded poles from the sidewalk(part of the destruction process) and Cops and City TV were there with their cameras. Apparently no one got hurt (thankfully) but I walk under that sidewalk barrier practically everyday...

The name of this thread may need to be changed to Heintzman Place

Trial Balcony! Here's the first completed balcony in the project! Looks sharp. I love the grey tint used on the building, a lot better than the type used on that Liberty Village project on the southside of Liberty St. It also works with the brick. I can't wait to see all the balconies done, as...

    Liberty Village

I'm in this area pretty much everyday. My personal thoughts are; PROS: -great for eye candy -nice old industrial architecture/history -changing quickly -influx of new population once the condos are complete CONS: -no soul! Something is off with regards to the feel of the...

    Random Interior Design Questions

I thought it might be helpful to have a catchall thread for random interior design questions, especially for first time buyers. It would be great for the experienced to contribute their insights. I'm going to be moving into a condo looking South. I'm concerned with natural lighting and how the...

Is "condo-sized" furniture necessary for condo dwellers?

I am intrigued by this solution...are you a designer, or do you specify specs and a place does it? If so, where did you get it done, and how much did it cost? I'd love something like this (minus the patterns) All those segments are able to be separated(at least I think so). Do you have...

    The Junction

So according to BlogTO, Crema moved their Clover machine out of the Junction into their new Yonge & Bloor location? What happened, we're not good enough for them? We have yuppies too! :P Anyhow, here's a BlogTO review of The Good Neighbour: http://www.blogto.com/cafes/good-neighbour-toronto

"What you saying?" -- How do you answer to that?

There's a bunch of old men yelling at clouds in here. Some slang I like, some I hate, but to ignore someone completely when they're just using a term for the purpose of greeting? Look I hate when people write "me thinks" (can I roll my eyes at you and wonder if you talk like that in real life)...

    The Junction

The Junction was featured today in the Metro (free daily). April Fools! Actually they did! http://www.metronews.ca/toronto/live/article/492169--the-junction-has-a-rags-to-riches-story-to-tell The big reason it's a big deal to me is because of the newspaper it was on. Metro is so mainstream...

    Monorail for Toronto

Serious question, to those that have experience with monorails: Is there a chance the track could bend?

    Toronto CAMH Discovery Centre | 41.6m | 7s | CAMH | KPMB

Pardon my ignorance, but is that $30/month geared towards patients of the facilities? Are they paying for a place to stay? And why is a sales center with barcelona chairs necessary? Is there a new project being built there, or is the presentation centre in relation to the new building they...

    The Junction

A new jazz spot opening up in the Junction! So awesome, I wish it all the best! I still haven't been to Hugh's room and was happy that it was nearby, and then I find out about this! This is such a good idea for the 'hood, I am blown away...

    The Junction

So apparently the new condos coming up, by Options For Homes, is nameless. Options is deciding on a new name for the project. They've let the purchasers know that they are open to suggestions. "Village By High Park" was just a marketing name.

    The Junction

That's too bad. Hmm maybe keep the decorations inside and make it a bar...could be like a Pee Wee's Playhouse Theme! But seriously best of luck to the former owners in their future endeavours. I like its location though, and depending on whatever the next type of business is in that spot...
