From reading STO's site and OC Transpo's site, I get the impression that you can use Presto to transfer onto STO. If you have an OC Transpo pass on your Presto card, you can use it to start a trip on STO and then transfer to OC Transpo, under certain conditions. Link to STO.

GO used concrete ties on their tracks in Durham Region (Pickering to Oshawa). Well, mostly concrete ties.... the ones under their switches are wood. Always wondered about that.
