If things go according to plans... The forms for the walls they put up today should be for the first floor of the fully curved tower. Steveve will have the best views of this in the next few days... (If he visits his grandmother again. ;) ) (From Aura webcam HERE )

Aura will be taller than the CN Tower from that view. Hard to believe.

Columns rarely get wider as a building rises, the reverse is usually true. Hmmmmm

I love copywriters... Read the first paragraph of the health club description and the average dumb shclub would take that to mean the club will be on the 78th floor with great views. Most people unfamiliar with the project would miss the distinction between Top Floor and Top Retail Floor...

Too high for 20 Homewood... I'm guessing Verve on Wellesley.

Using canadan's image above, (And a quick and nasty MS Paint cut and paste job) I skipped ahead a few weeks to get an idea of what the upper window wall may look like:

Also, there are also no visible hangers attached to the concrete. Unusual. Window wall is usually mounted to brackets pre-drilled into the floor slabs. Are they just "gluing" the cladding on? :D

The glass is not curved; the curtain wall on the "curve" is as flat as the floors below. (Look carefully, they have already installed two floors on the "curve" which sit at a slightly different angle from the floors below.) If they had problems, it was due to the wedge-shaped spacing caused by...

Finally, a second row of curtain wall on the curve. Plus the uppermost three floors got higher ceilings again. (Aura webcam HERE )

Speaking of cladding... It will be interesting to see how they cover the 2 floor sections of the penthouse. Will they run a metal support structure to hold two rows of window-wall, or will it be full-length sections with immense glass? (Which would have to have been custom made, at an extreme...

Good eye... Extrapolating on that, I wonder if it is intentional and we are in for a stripey-look to the curtain-wall to go with the darker glass stripes of the lower half. ???

^^ You people have no sense of humour. You take it personally as if you have something personal at stake with this light strip. Did I call you mother a bad name or did I make light of a very simple looking situation which is completely unrelated to you? Unless of course YOU are the artist...

"Ordering a special part" ??? I never heard such nonsense. Some LED strip lighting and an extension cord, what else could this supposed "Art Installation" require? And don't give me the "Complex and sophisticated computer software" excuse either...I can buy 12 feet of programmable LED Strip...

If indeed, all those units were joined by some buyer, they would have had to pay a hefty premium to have the plans changed so drastically. To simply join two units would have been modest alterations by comparison, because that could be easily undone for resale. This however, required the removal...
