Metrolinx probably went with the grey concrete bridge since their idiot consultants told them it will make the Ontario Line more like a subway. The other bridge options wouldn't have given it that subway look.

This is interesting I wonder how they're going to split that upper level space, especially is Eataly might only take part of the 2nd floor and not the full thing. Which also leads me to the question of how the heck any customer would get to the 3rd floor for any tenant who would like to lease...

Well I mean, who would be crazy enough to rent out a space that's right outside of a heavy construction zone with pedestrian detours everywhere for the next 4 years. Unless someone is crazy enough to waste their money, this will be vacant for quite some time.

I dont think this has been mentioned on this thread, but the city will be rehabilitating the York St (westbound) on-ramp beginning June 2024 and the project will go into early 2025. So if you think you already cant get anywhere in the city, it's about to get even worse.

Not worth a photo update so I didnt bother taking a pic of this, but they are literally moving around dirt today around the south end of the site (by the south end of the site along the future Harbour St extension).

Well this is sad, that office building was a little historical gem. While i'm not surprised this is happening because of that building's low utilization rates, in my opinion this really should've been historically designated. But since that wasnt done, that made it a whole lot easier for this...

I'd imagine there will be step-back crewing on the line, but not sure if that would be a single-step back or double-step back. We'll have to see what happens on that end. The potential scheduling padding issue is also one that I wouldnt be surprised to see.

Simple answer is $$$. In a sense, we should be thankful this thing is even going to Eglinton in this phase.

Another thing that would help is if the TTC used headway based schedule operation instead of timed schedule based operation, but it's wishful thinking that's not going to happen with them. And something that would never even be considered with Leary around.

Is there actually any kind of penalty for this? Because right now it seems like Concord could care less, which wouldnt be surprising considering the gutter trash developer that they are.
