    Toronto Crosstown LRT: Caledonia Station | 11.72m | 2s | Metrolinx | McCallum Sather

Only Metrolinx finds ways to make to make construction of a simple train station drag on for over a decade. I guarantee you Volkswagen, and Toyota will complete their massive manufacturing plants from scratch faster than Metrolinx will construct any of the new GO stations in Toronto.

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Another vantage we haven't seen (from Bay and Queens Quay) May 29 2024

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Wow they actually attempted to make the tiling match the existing platform aesthetic?? Maybe the TTC didnt realize their mistake is getting things right here.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Metrolinx probably went with the grey concrete bridge since their idiot consultants told them it will make the Ontario Line more like a subway. The other bridge options wouldn't have given it that subway look.

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

This is interesting I wonder how they're going to split that upper level space, especially is Eataly might only take part of the 2nd floor and not the full thing. Which also leads me to the question of how the heck any customer would get to the 3rd floor for any tenant who would like to lease...

    Toronto 2 Queen West | 34.44m | 7s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

Well I mean, who would be crazy enough to rent out a space that's right outside of a heavy construction zone with pedestrian detours everywhere for the next 4 years. Unless someone is crazy enough to waste their money, this will be vacant for quite some time.

    Toronto House of Assembly | 61.85m | 17s | Marlin Spring | Graziani + Corazza

Wow Marlin Spring is that really you? Are we sure Hines didnt put some kind of clause in the terms of sale which forbid Marlin Spring from using their typical trash materials? All jokes aside for a moment, this actually looks quite decent. Now if only they put this same amount of effort into...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I dont think this has been mentioned on this thread, but the city will be rehabilitating the York St (westbound) on-ramp beginning June 2024 and the project will go into early 2025. So if you think you already cant get anywhere in the city, it's about to get even worse.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A

Not worth a photo update so I didnt bother taking a pic of this, but they are literally moving around dirt today around the south end of the site (by the south end of the site along the future Harbour St extension).

    Toronto 1111 Danforth Avenue | 45.85m | 13s | Core Development | Studio JCI

I wouldnt even waste your time even trying to find out why he voted against it, you would just be wasting precious minutes of life. He himself probably doesnt even know why he voted against it.

    Toronto 1111 Danforth Avenue | 45.85m | 13s | Core Development | Studio JCI

Of course Stephen Holyday continues to show his low IQ level. What's his reasoning now, too many bike riders will use Danforth and wonder into Etobicoke Centre?

    Toronto Quay House | 73.15m | 21s | Empire | Kirkor

It's pretty hard to ignore garbage that's spewed on prime land. Empire is a joke for this.

    701 Evans Avenue

Well this is sad, that office building was a little historical gem. While i'm not surprised this is happening because of that building's low utilization rates, in my opinion this really should've been historically designated. But since that wasnt done, that made it a whole lot easier for this...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

From a new perspective we haven't seen before from Harbour St (May 21 2023): And one from Bay:

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'd imagine there will be step-back crewing on the line, but not sure if that would be a single-step back or double-step back. We'll have to see what happens on that end. The potential scheduling padding issue is also one that I wouldnt be surprised to see.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Simple answer is $$$. In a sense, we should be thankful this thing is even going to Eglinton in this phase.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Another thing that would help is if the TTC used headway based schedule operation instead of timed schedule based operation, but it's wishful thinking that's not going to happen with them. And something that would never even be considered with Leary around.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

It's Astral Media who came up with this idiotic concept, not the city. As much as I like to blame the city for a lot of things (especially giving the contract to Astral for street furnishing for as long as they did), the bad quality transit shelters in this city are right on the feet of...

    Toronto Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Great insight @Northern Light thanks for sharing. Which leads me to the question of why the city has (presumably) not enforced anything yet seeing as this problem has been going on for months now. Although it's entirely possible there was a cash penalty levied, if the problem has been going on...

    Toronto Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Is there actually any kind of penalty for this? Because right now it seems like Concord could care less, which wouldnt be surprising considering the gutter trash developer that they are.
