TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I don't think this was discussed yet, but yesterday (Sunday) some time between 11:30am and noon I saw 4409 on Queen Street at Church. I was shocked to see it so I fumbled with my camera phone to take a pic before it could pull away. What's not pictured is that there seemed to be about 4-5...

What's with the spelling of Yonge St as Younge St in that document? Strange!

    Rob Ford's Toronto

These grammar tweets are driving me crazy today. Rob and Doug say so many incorrect things, but the staffer who wrote that was correct. It's "Join Rob and me" not "Join Rob and I". You wouldn't say "Join I" so you don't say "Join Rob and I".

Pointing that out didn't make you a dick, calling me a liar and then saying you were surprised I thought you were being polite made you a dick. I've seen you constantly argue with people on here when you don't agree with them, and now that you've argued with me even though you agree with me...

I don't owe a response to anyone who's being a dick, but I'm going to respond anyway. I never said it was my last 100 subway rides. In fact, I walk to work so I'm not on during rush hour when people who normally take the subway (and are therefore used to it) ride. I take it mostly on the...

Saying sorry before calling me a liar doesn't make it any more polite. Besides, it doesn't matter if you believe me or not. If you don't think it's an issue then it doesn't concern you and you don't have to worry about what I think/do.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

Holy crap. If you think no one cares, and the TTC won't listen anyway then I can't understand how it affects you in the least and therefore can't for the life of me figure out why you constantly have to regurgitate that the TTC won't do anything. Great, then you don't have to worry about what...

Great then it's none of your concern if I'm wasting my own time so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.

Well obviously many people disagree so I will continue what I'm doing.

No light bulbs have to change, they all light up with both colours, therefore no cost to change bulbs. It's about doing things PROPERLY to make things intuitive. To improve wayfinding. I guess I just find it important to be as clear as possible instead of accepting things that are wrong.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

Because like you said you got used to it so you can use it. But wayfinding is for people to find their way when they don't know where they're going. It's not for people like you who are "used to it" and know where you're going. Therefore, a map should be logical, intuitive, etc so that people...

But it's not because blue and purple don't have decades of GO and STOP associated with them like green and red respectively. If that's the case lets just change the stop lights to red means go and green means stop cuz six of one...

Honestly apparently more people outside the forum care because I have a bunch of friends who have independently brought this up as a pet peeve just from riding the subway. They have no interest in transit, unlike how the people on the forum are interested yet are responding and arguing against...

Yes and based on your above post they chose the opposite of intuitive.

And I guess what I'm saying is why do anything ever if we just expect nothing to change. We could all be Debbie Downer or we could actually try to do some good even if it doesn't end up accomplishing anything. At least then you could say you tried. And it's more like saying i would like a...

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

Since green means go then you could have the stops you're GOING to be green and that would also be considered green representing the direction you're going. Obviously people catch on after a few stops because they see the stops go by on the map even without it being lit up. Catching on after a...

Amare, TheTigerMaster is saying the exact opposite of what you're saying. That shows that it's not intuitive if there's no consensus and people are thinking it's the opposite of what it actually is.

The train isn't in service for that direction so it makes perfect sense to not have it lit up. Go to the other platform if you want a train that is serving those stations.
