Toronto Massey Hall Revitalization at the Allied Music Centre | 48.46m | 7s | KPMB

God it looks so weird without the fire escapes...
  3. Red October

    Toronto West Block Est. 1928, The LakeShore, and The LakeFront | 130.75m | 41s | Choice Properties | a—A

:( Not a fan of having to look at those godawful spandrel towers every day. Goddamn Concord... Well at least the warehouse will be back (with an actual grocery store in the area!!!).
  4. Red October

    Toronto Dundas Square Gardens | 156.05m | 50s | Gupta | IBI Group

Now you've done it, the aA fanboy alarm probably just went off like crazy. (you're right, by the way... but some people like sterile soulless street-level design)
  6. Red October

    Toronto One Delisle | 155m | 44s | Slate | Studio Gang

Whoa. This type of development is what should be built around Yonge + St. Clair. And a design with some creativity!
  7. Red October

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

The TTC clearly built a secret meeting lair for their Lizard Human overlords to decide the fate of Toronto transit planning, and we aren't supposed to know about it.

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

Because they drive to work every day and park in a garage right under their office, so they don't understand what commuting by other modes is like.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

House of Lords falls under this too. I'm sure people are driving from Scarborough in order to get a cheap haircut at the House of freaking Lords...

"Website tries to draw in readers and Toronto is blowing up about it!" (screenshot of single UT comment)

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

Were you at the public meeting? IMO they (the city) really did seem to think option B would work.
  12. Red October

    Toronto Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I'll never not be disappointed at that awful bunker of a podium on Harbour.
  13. Red October

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Somebody's projecting a little, I think. (and I also think you're taking a rendering a little too literally)
  14. Red October

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I really think you're over-estimating the number of cyclists who will just try and barrel straight through a mob of cyclists making that movement across the intersection, but that's just me. I'll tell you this much - those "dangerous" things you're exaggerating already happen, except it just...

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

The "funicular" plan just seems like them suggesting a slapped on solution to a problem they're creating themselves... And the walkway plan is so stupid I'm not even dignifying it with a complete response. Expand the loop. Actually create a connected network here.
  16. Red October

Union Station LRT Loop Reconfiguration (TTC, Proposed)

Making people walk 600m to make a transfer is so goddamn stupid I can barely comprehend it. It's the opposite of creating a cohesive network and the one-way moving sidewalk is a joke (not to mention it'll just be taken out like it was at Spadina Station).
  17. Red October

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I can't wait until this is built. Should be an enormous improvement on the current situation.
