    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

According to the TTC website, currently VP has 3 regular bus routes (plus 1 community, and 1 cancelled express) and Warden has 9.

    Brampton Transit/Zum

Probably not until York U resumes on campus learning, which the earliest would be September, at this time.

    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

I don't think the TTC would want a publicly accessible elevator that can access an area not open to the public.

Bramalea Road EA (City of Brampton)

There isn't much that can be done without having to go through a building in the area or forcing the rail spur against Orenda. Oddly enough, they did realign the spur by several metres to fit in the Zum stop when they built it, but it's a barely noticeable kink.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

It's because there's virtually nothing between highway 50 and highway 27 in that stretch, around 2-3km of nothing to serve with a bus. Neither system probably wants a route through what is currently nowhere.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

Before YRT shifted away from York U proper, I would take Brampton Zum and then YRT into North York via Steeles where possible to avoid paying a double fare. I still did it after they moved off campus, but via Highway 7. But I had to plan it to catch a bus that was only like once every 50 minutes.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Hydro lines cross Eglinton on either side of the 427, you have to take both in account, to thread a line below both sets, and over the 427.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Bramalea absolutely sucks after hours. I've spent 20, 30 minute periods waiting for the next BT bus after getting in super late at night from Union, and it's just bleak. Not even the washrooms are open, and is nothing in walking distance.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Eglinton Ave literally serves a purpose so that Eglinton can be continuous between Toronto and Mississauga. Otherwise, there's no way to get from one part of Eglinton to the other part, without a large detour. The nearest connection between the two parts would be via Dixon Rd, Carlingview and...

    miWay Transit

Really, masks should have been made mandatory in back in March or April, and not in July now that restrictions are being loosened.

    miWay Transit

But it costs another fare to take YRT and TTC on the same trip. That's why people don't want that. The GTA weekly pass ended Dec 1, 2019. It cost like $50, but was valid for Brampton, Mississauga, YRT and TTC. Brampton still has a weekly pass for $34

    miWay Transit

I doubt that. 501A/C still run all the way to York because there has yet to be any fare relief for those heading to York, (under normal circumstances, I would assume that is most riders end point) which is now a double fair for YRT. Students will not be happy if they change that now, after...

    Fare evasion on the TTC...

You don't really need fare enforcement on a bus only system, they only way onto the bus is to pay your fare (or transfer). There's no need for fare enforces to check a PoP because the driver isn't going to let you stay on the bus without paying or a valid transfer. It's hard to evade the fare in...

    Fare evasion on the TTC...

...But Viva buses don't even have readers on buses. They can't seriously expect you to get off the bus to tap again. The problem has suddenly become PoP, which now appears to expire at exactly the 2 hour mark. This doesn't particularly matter on other systems, where you pay as you board and...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

The first gen Presto readers were fine, ones that are still on every system outside of TTC (if not a bit small for the actually relevant information displayed) I was in part of a focus group from Presto before the TTC introduced their version, and these same issues were raised. And they never...

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

The Bus icon is for YRT buses. YRT doesn't service Finch West, but they do service Sheppard West still.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

There was a tweet this morning from Brampton Transit saying they would be using it, including stopping at the new stops, but it's now gone.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It's not about the wrong transit agency. It's the special case of the handful of double fare routes operating outside of Toronto - the 52 Lawrence West being one of those routes. It deducts a MiWay fare because that's where the extra fare really goes. And, they've only recently started doing...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I think something needs to change about buildings being open on weekends. I myself have found myself waiting in the dead of night at Bramalea, which gets very frequent bus service even on weekends, but the building is still closed. For a line that will actually get weekend train service, to not...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

When they first introduced the midday trains to Mount Pleasant, they were 10 car units, but they were supeer empty when I used them during university. Like maybe a dozen people in the top level, it was great.
