    Toronto West Block Est. 1928, The LakeShore, and The LakeFront | 130.75m | 41s | Choice Properties | a—A

I want to know how they are going to integrate the heritage billboards, since I don't see them in the renderings. Was there some disposition from the city to not require their replacement? From: http://urbantoronto.ca/news/2013/08/loblaws-thinking-big-lake-shore-and-bathurst "The existing...

Seems like this is still on. The project is going to the Committee of Adjustment on January 20. "PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION: To alter the existing three-storey hotel by constructing a five-storey east side addition in order to increase the number of hotel suites from the existing 19 suites by...

Whatever happened with this? Is there a full thread?

After all the speculation that arose after the Empress Hotel fire that it was owner-arson, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion here. This happened on the coldest night of the season, and (if I were to speculate) might guess that it was an unfortunate homeless person trying to get shelter and warmth.

Side streets aren't the place for the same density as major streets.

If you bought at Yonge/Bloor thinking that the SW corner was going to remain ultra low density in perpetuity, you're an idiot.

This was roughly one of my (and a few community members) suggestions at the public information meeting. Of course, it might be a moot point now that the other tower has been proposed south of this one.

Do we know if there is going to be some kind of light feature in the crown or something?

I would LOVE some variation. From the applications that have been submitted in the area, there is very, very little variation so far.

In what City policy document does it suggest that this area should be developed like the entertainment district? Don't get me wrong... Dundas? Jarvis? Church? Sure, hit it with density. Mutual & Dalhousie are not those streets. We classify different streets for a reason, or should we just...

I appreciate that this is not a commonly held opinion around here. Not every street needs to be developed as if it is an arterial. Different streets and classes of street should be developed differently.

I don't think that kind of density is appropriate for what is basically a side street. The applications in this area create what is basically another Entertainment District density area.
