    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Former French PM reminds people that (if my French didn't fail me) terrorism stems from France's consistent following the White house in its foreign policy in "choosing sides" (eg: Ukraine vs. Russia, Israel vs. Palestinian, Saudi Arabia vs. Iran etc.) and intolerance of another world outside...

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Yes. Right now it says it costs $21-29 to go from downtown to Pearson. When you come back, UberX is not an option.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It should have a daily cap equivalent to a day pass also, so that day passes are phased out too.

    TTC surface stop spacing

First there are six stops within 1300 meters, not eight; second Bangkok has a much higher density, three, I asked for a "system wide" narrow spacing like TTC, not one selected stretch of one bus line. Guess you can't find one to refute me after all.

    TTC surface stop spacing

completely agree. Toronto seems to have an obsession with close spacing when it makes zero sense. Victoria and Huron stations are cases in point. So are many stops on st Clair and Eglinton.

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

I don't hate it, but as I said, its quality is only average (judging my personal experience), and I just don't see why people seem to look forward to it that much, maybe it is the "the first store" factor or the "Japanese factor" (people line up for anything Japanese, let it be a ramen house, or...

    TTC surface stop spacing

OK, show me a city where public transit has systematically 150-250m spacing - not one or two stops on a single line, but on average, system wide, like our entire streetcar/bus fleet.

    TTC surface stop spacing

You mean 14km on average, including early morning, or at 11pm. I was talking specifically about busy weekend afternoons.

    TTC surface stop spacing

I mentioned several times how frustrating it is to take the 512. On a busy weekend when every single stop involves loading and unloading (often one or two people at many stops) every 45 seconds, you might as well just walk. Tonronto is the only city that has such crazy spacing. Cities with twice...

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Took the UPX for the first time from the airport. Conclusion is that it doesn't really save much time (10 minutes tops, and I live within 15 minutes walking of Union) compared with subways+192, but it is definitely more comfortable and less stressful.

Today the parking lot is full of parked cars again. OK, I give up.

I am not sure why people look forward to a uniqlo so much ... We have several in Shanghai and I don't have good things to say about either the quality or the design. They are really very generic and uninteresting. At least three of t-shirts became unwearable after two washes only.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Toronto has 2.6 million? You live in 2010, I guess? And there is no point in showing how bad KC's transit is specifically (though I don't think that was your original intention, you were more impressed by King car's ridership). There are plenty of American cities worse than that. Phoenix...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

You should know the metro or CSA population is meaningless, as they cover a humongous large piece of land. The metro is over 20,000 sq km, compared with 7000 for Toronto's 6 million. To say that system serves 2 million people is silly. The point is, comparing to KC is basically meaningless...

    TTC surface stop spacing

I don't need to reply to your weird logic of "since the bus stops anyway why not make a bus stop". It doesn't really apply anywhere in the real world. What about the high possibility that the streetcars often miss a green light because of theses unnecessary stops? Happens every single day.

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

Personal attack and 5 petty "like"s aside, You guys simply can't accept the fact that this store is no different from a Walmart. Nothing about it is interesting to say the least.

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

Since I have no irrational emotional attachment, common senses tell me there is no loss when it goes. Enough with the "I often went there with Dad in the 1980s" story. 30 years have passed and it's time to move on. It is not "iconic". Maybe it represent Tonronto's small past but that's long...

    TTC surface stop spacing

Regarding Victoria stop, if passengers can't walk 100 meter from Yonge stop, wonder how the managed to get on to the streetcar in the first place. Do they live within 100m from a 501 stop? How do people manage to get to other hospitals with more than 100m walk from a transit stop? I am sure all...

    TTC surface stop spacing

let's see, more stops need to be eliminated, including for example: Huron McCaul Chestnut and there should be only 2 stops between Ossington and Bathurst On 501, Peter, McCaul, York, Victoria (all insanely close), and likely 2 between Bathurst and Ossington (1.2km, currently 4 stops in between...
