Crane is coming down today.

Based on the photos of the fire it looks like it was on the corner by the construction elevator. it did look like a pretty major fire and I would guess it damaged some windows and cladding.

I was up the CN Tower for an event last week, and from what I could see there is nothing in the slanted part of the building except for mechanical and electrical.

Continued progress on getting the top of the Ritz clad.

Just out of one of the Canadian investment dealers quarterly analyst reports. I assume the info appeared in Brookfield's quarterly report, or was revealed on an analyst conference call.

Some info from a research report I read today. Two leases were signed for Bay Adelaide Centre totaling 76,000 sq. ft. Thomson Reuters signed a 10-year lease for 59,000 sq. ft. and Barclays Capital signed up for 17,000 sq. ft. also for 10 years. This brings the property to approximately 81%...

Looking at the latest shots of Parade I noticed something surprising. They've put spandral and windows over the spot where we assumed the skybridge would be attached. Why would that be necessary, especially since the next phase is already underway.

That's too bad, but still I hope it gets developed, it is such a huge parking lot right now.

Anybody have any update on this project. Nothing about it on the Aspen Ridge web site. It's a big one for the area and will really add to the density of the skyline west of university.

I was looking out my window before I walked to work and saw a new red thing sticking up over by M5V. So I figured I'd get a couple of pics on my way to work. Of course this being UrbanToronto, someone beat me to it (nice shots verlander).

So far only 1/4 of the ground floor has been poured but it looks like they're very close on another 1/4 being done soon. But there is a lot of forming up for elevator shafts/stairwells above groundlevel.

Well there is now a piling maching sitting in the empty lot to the west of the ice parking lot. It's not doing anything and just showed up over the weekend. Not saying it's for ice, but it is sitting right next door.

Ask me in two years ;)
