Some shots I took this evening while I was playing with my new camera. Taken from my balcony at Montage. As an aside, the Soho is finally starting to make sense to me, I used to think, man why did they bulid this thing way out in the middle of nowhere. But now with all the new development...

I picked up a new camera today. One of those new super zoom point and shoots, a Samsung wb600. Up to 15x zoom, amazing. Here's a shot taken this evening from my balcony at Montage. Here's a close up.

Pouring going on today at Shangri-la. Look at the size of the framing at the bottom of this photo, those are going to be huge concrete beams.

I would say it had no role, the militant protestors would have gone to the fence and risked arrest if they'd been able to. I think all it really did was make people who live in the area nervous. The police brass blew it on both Saturday and Sunday, on Saturday it was clear all they cared...

Not taken out of context at all actually. I was standing about four stores to the east of Steve's music (off the left side of the frame). There wasn't any property damage going on, it was very peaceful, most people seemed to be trying to figure out what was going on at the intersection...

I strongly suspect that the new ramp is going to be permanent. Why else would they go to the trouble of covering it?

Got tired of sitting at my desk so went for a walk to see what's up with Shangri-La It's getting taller, they're pouring a slab on the south west corner today.

Excellent thanks for those pics. It looks pretty nice. Good views of Ice/Infiniti under construction.

And here's a pic taken from above, showing where all the concrete is going. Sorry it's so grainy, full zoom on a blackberry does not for good pictures make.

They're doing a very large pour today so brought in a concrete pumping thingy.

BTW anyone looking to get photos of this park, go to the second floor eating area of the Loblaws across the road for some great views and photo opportunities.
