TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Going by this web site which may not be gospel. https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Toronto_Transit_Commission_4400-4603 Tally in terms of in service cars; Q1 2018 4458-4468 or 11 cars Q2 2018 4469-4482 or 14 cars Q3 2018 4483-4499 or 17 cars Total 42. So they need to get a total of 23 in...

Not sure how you are calculating quarterly performance but I'm assuming you mean from Q4 2017 to Q4 2018? Well they certainly did not meet their target in the last quarter of 2017. And if they load 1/3 of this year's quota in one quarter, it makes it easier to hit the numbers for the other...

So we have roughly five weeks left in the year including stat holidays. Depending on if you count in service or delivered cars we have 14-15 left to go if I am reading the previous posts correctly. Crunch time. Will they make it?

I am going by the not always reliable Wikipedia reference (as of Feb 2018) which indicates 65 deliveries FY2018. With 21 in Q4 does that not mean BBD is still to deliver 4501,4502,4503 by end of Q3?

4600 would be a stretch. I don't see BBD shipping 100 more cars by Sept 21.

Also, I can assure you that the some voters expecting their tax reductions would prefer to see Torontonians die rather than pay more in tax. These are the same people that shut-down their own small town hospitals 20 years ago rather than pay more in tax to keep them open. I have clipped the...

Instead of adding signage and procedure to warn of a perennial problem, maybe add more drainage to solve the issue?

Defective welds in bogie and articulated portal you say? In layman's terms the components that hold the wheels on the vehicle and keep the sections coupled together. Well I'm sure glad it didn't affect anything important.

That's the thing about vehicles on rails. If there's an emergency it's hard to detour around it. Good thing streetcars don't...oh wait a minute.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

By this time last year, BBD had delivered 9 in 2017. No matter how the next week or so spins out it's quite an improvement this year.

Operators do more than drive the vehicle. They need to ensure fare compliance as much as possible, offer guidance to new riders to ensure they are on the correct route, and provide some measure of security. We would still need some kind of attendant if only to mitigate chaos on board. This...

They seem to be running pretty close to the current schedule. And its a big improvement over 2017. BBD took until 3rd week of Sept to get this many cars out last year.

I would agree that they would have 45ish days to build cars. But I was replying to your previous post which I believe indicated that they had 45 days to have them here, which implies included transit time.

There are 23 days left in May plus 30 in June. Thats 53 days to have them here not 45

I neglected to think about 4466. That being said, if 4475 is delivered tomorrow, its still 15, not 14.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

The schedule called for 11 in Q1 and 16 in Q2, if memory serves. If 4475 is delivered by tomorrow, that would put them more or less on target, with 5 in April.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Thats why I was asking. It has taken 16 weeks to deliver a total of 15 cars if 4474 has arrived. So they need to build 12 more in a much shorter time span. Edit because I can't add lol.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

If 4474 is pending for delivery then BBD has to deliver 4475-4486 by end of June to hit the target of total 27 shipments for Q1 and Q2 2018. That's 13 in 10 weeks if I am doing the math correctly. 9 weeks if we count transit time for 4486. We'll see I guess.

Hard to tell but that looks like a TTC power line which as I said before is 600v A high tension wire on the tracks would still ground out as mentioned above. I am just wondering if an 18ooo volt line on the tracks would also send a massive surge through the vehicle and into tbe positive side of...

I think the power supply to the TTC streetcars is 600V DC. What would happen to the system if a high tension wire line landed on the tracks? I think they are 18000 volts or something like that.
