All purchasers received notice last week that the Interim Occupancy Date has been moved from November 2012 to January 2014. No surprise to anyone who has been watching this project move along at a snail's pace...

Great cladding, love this building! Great for the neighbourhood - Changes the feel of Front St. and will contrast the cityplace clear class on the south side further west.

The north side of this building will likely be a blank concrete wall. Seems to me that it will be very close to the property line, the Bank of Toronto building is not part of the project and all renderings available show the west and south facades. This could be very unsighly when looking...

this is one super slow moving project... should be worth the wait though!

Those 2 narrow north facing blank walls are perfect for backlit ads or billboards facing Dundas Square. Ads on various surrounding buildings including on top of 277 Victoria Street (NE corner of Square) would go a long way to further creating more of that intimate big city times square type...

The most striking high-rise under construction in the city?

Walked along University in front of the site the other day and the hoarding was removed. Only a chain link fence was separating the sidewalk from the construction. They are pretty much at ground level now.

Interfacelift is prob one of the best hi-res desktop wallpaper sites on the web (sized authmatically to desktop size, dozens of size options, etc.. However, Toronto is seriously under represented on the site, do any of the phenomenal UrbanToronto photogs know about it...

I like the Ritz with no illuminated signage on top of the building - hope they don't apply to add anything else. Too many buildings in Toronto have illuminated logos, I much prefer light fixtures and cool neon colours at a building's summit vs. corporate emblems. Plus, the lack of distractions...

Totally agree, but doesn't the Entertainment District BIA cover this stretch of King St W? TIFF Lightbox has made this an amazing stretch of the city and the John St. revitalization and several new condos will really make this part of the city a destination.

Moving along nicely.. they should be good to honour the soft occupancy date of November 2012. This is an important precedent project for T.O. would love to see more slender buildings with large bike storage areas and no resident parking spots.
