Anyone sold their own home? Or used a flat-fee MLS service?

I had thought the only way to get on MLS was if you used a realtor. Any idea what the flat fees are for it?

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

Just wanted to give an updated on this. I had emailed Tarion asking them these questions, and within a day, someone from Tarion called me to explain further. The stated that by law, for a house to be in the level to allow occupancy, it only has to have the basic necessities for living...

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

Is it normal for builders to put crappy display furniture in during construction, then switch it up after completion? Seems like such a waste.

300 Front Street West Condos (Tridel) - Real Estate -

I agree that ICE being connected to the PATH is a huge advantage. Never having to step outside during winter! Anyone have the psf for Charlie handy? I just checked out the model suite over the weekend, and it looks pretty sweet. If it's in the same price range, I'd say Charlie ftw.

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

I really wish I had held back on signing at the PDI, but didn't. It's been 2 weeks now, and they've called me a few times asking if they are allowed to enter the primises, and I've given them the go ahead always, but not one thing has been corrected. What angers me even more is that I hear...

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

But what good is all this if there isn't even a law forcing the builder to correct anything found in the PDI?

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

Wish I had thought of this before the PDI. I read somewhere that the PDI is a requirement, and extensive steps are required by the Builder to ensure its done. This might have bought me a few weeks, and at least given me a leg to stand on. I'm definitely going to push them further to get...

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

That's what I would have thought. The PDI was 2 days before the closing, and during the PDI, the Builders rep verbally assured me that everything would be completed within the two days. It's been almost 2 weeks, but nothing has been done since the PDI.

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

thanks, I read that, but it just basically says what the PDI is and what's required, but doesn't explain what happens to the items that you report during the PDI.

    CityPlace Condos

I also live in Cityplace. I've been here for about 2 months. I was a little reluctant to buy at first based on opinions on these forums, but when a deal I felt was worth the risk came up, I decided to purchase anyway. Yes, there are a few issues that still need to be ironed out, however...

Distillery District - Pure Spirit - Condo for sale 1BR+Den w/ parking+locker, Cheap!

Who pays 7% interest these days? And really, that 25 yr amortization could be extended a bit to lower monthly costs. If you were to put 25% down, you'd be able to mortgage $195,000 for $1046.81 at 30 yr amortization, 5% interest, on a 5 yr term.

    Pre-delivery Inspection and occupancy fees

From my understanding, the builder has up to 1 year to resolve issues brought up during the Pre-delivery Inspection. However, is there a standard that builders must have the house in before delivery, or are they allowed to have the house half completed, force the buyer to take occupancy and pay...

    Options Upgrades (caution: scary stories)

yeah, sinks, and their contents are generally an eye sore, especially after a few years of wear. Also, if undermounted, I'd assume the sink would be deeper as well, so a full sink would be less seen. That said, I'd definitely NOT spend $850. Instead, I'd request they not install the sink at...

    Pinery Provincial Park Campground reservation

Hey, I have a campsite booked at Pinery Provincial Park from July 11th - 14th that I unfortunately can't use. These reservations were made back in March, as the park is fully booked throughout the season. This is a rare opportunity to experience a great campground. The total cost of...
