Better than Newsom. I’m worried that the California Governor will win the ticket, and that Newsom’s record on high taxes, surging homelessness, identity/progressive politics, and providing sanctuary status to the undocumented, will be a big turnoff to centre-leaning Republican and independent voters. Kelly doesn’t present any of these issues.

How would they even know who’s voting for whom? This would seemingly disadvantage the Republicans as well as the Democrats here. Yes, ICE has their apps…but they can’t mind read.

They know which polling stations lean Democrat. They just need to hassle everyone (especially the brown ones) at Dem leaning polls. Hell, one of the rumours is that Trump will try to take over election administration of Georgia's Fulton County (containing Atlanta) and make it much harder to vote there, so that the heavily Dem county is suppressed vs Republican hinterland.

That maybe so, I don’t think that’s going to matter. Anything but Trump and all that if the current polling trends still holds…

…but that should never excuse Democrats for putting in shite low bar candidates for the highest offices hoping everything will be okay. Because that’s not okay. At all.

It's not about getting the county to flip, it's about winning the state in electoral college or Senate.

Yeah, they're not going to flip Fulton County, However, they *could* make it difficult for voters in "Democrat precincts" to vote--that is, it went 71-27 Dem last time; shave off enough Dem votes through suppression tactics so it's more like 60-40 when it comes to "recorded votes", and that's enough to steal an election...

…I will say though is what I am saying is based on cautious optimism. That is, what I hope to be best outcome in dire times, doesn’t mean it will happen. And I saying this while I wage a battle with myself that’s dreading and paralyzed with fear of the worst outcome.
