Noticed today that the sign cladding has finally been installed on the frame, within the past day or two I suspect.
Does Rogers/Sportsnet still have office space there? They used to rent TV studio space in the CBC Building and have their back offices at the Hyatt. It is. They've been looking at abandoning the office space on the lower floors of the building (most people mistakenly think this is all hotel) and converting that area to rooms for awhile now. The direction makes sense as Toronto is hotel-constrained, and Class B office over-supplied. There are currently huge vacancies here too so I think a conversion is a positive step:
Yup. Toronto desperately needs new hotel space and we seem to finally be seeing signs of some real supply growth on that front downtown. No on both accounts. But I believe it was actually The Score/Out-TV who had the space here. After the unfortunate acquisition of The Score by Rogers, it was re-branded as what we know today as Sportsnet 360.No on both accounts. But I believe it was actually The Score/Out-TV who had the space here. Rogers used the CBC for Hockey Night in Canada studio and office space.
