I'm pleased that we're getting a "Gehry-lite" here. I've personally never been much a fan of his more outlandish designs, but it seems like we're getting the best of both Gehry flair and "conventional" design here. Also, those reflecting city lights at night look fantastic!
Same here. My personal preference with skyscrapers tends towards boxy modernism, hence my affection for FCP and buildings of its sort, though even better are all those gorgeous old art deco buildings with all-brick and setbacks, of which we sadly have virtually none in Toronto. These Gehrys are effectively boxes, with offsets and very interesting metallic cladding.

I've been involved with a lot of structural fab work over the years. Jig design and manufacture costs $$$. You aren't going to create a large quantity of variance if only to few skyscraper enthusiasts notice. I would say generally we are lucky to have this tower, and so far, it's looking impressive compared to the norm in this city for high rise residential construction.
No! Every panel has to be unique!

Today. The 5th floor south side panels were added overnight. I have not seen them doing cladding work during the regular construction shift (7am-3pm). Perhaps they are utilizing the main tower crane to lift these pieces and they have to schedule the work in shifts.
