Toronto Harris Square | 50.29m | 13s | Urban Capital | Saucier + Perrotte

A couple of quick pics from this morning. They’ve taken down most of the forms and the pointed mechanical box is now very apparent. From the renders, I’m not clear if it will be clad in clear or smoked glass.

According to the original drawings available online for SPA, the top box is a combo of fritted glass and smoked glass, though I assume most of it will be back-painted since more than half of it is mechanical. Also, am I wrong or do I see drywall going up on the first 2 or 3 floors in that last photo?

Confirmed! Drywall is going up!

Coming along beautifully. I did notice while walking by yesterday (for some fresh air only) that there is a sign on the gate saying "SITE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE". I've noticed that other sites are still running with what's been going on but I do wonder how long they'll keep it that way..

I saw some workers on site this morning who seemed to be continuing with glass installation on the mechanical box.

I wonder how this will turn out!

love this project. Everything from its scale, shape, location, material quality and ground level treatment is great and gives me hope that the overall trend in the city is for a better product.

A non-strictly rectilinear form?! A new residential district that isn’t exclusively on a grid?! Colour on new condos?! What is this blasphemy?!

(Loving this.)

Tried to grab some looks at the (very sexy) structural girding under the overhang.
