When looking for a place the one thing I refuse to budge on is one-wall kitchens. I hate them lol. I'll walk from a place automatically if I see it.

My not-necessarily-realistic next step in renovating the dome would be an exterior reclad. I can tell you from experience that Auckland, New Zealand absolutely does fret about this all the time. And in fact I've seen people here use Toronto as an aspirational case, which is very funny considering how we talk about ourselves a lot of the time.
