  1. Red October

    Toronto Smart House | 82.6m | 25s | Urban Capital | a—A

"Smart" House really is an aA special... lmao https://dailyhive.com/toronto/worst-condo-ever-tiktok
  2. Red October

    Toronto 1087 Yonge | 53.8m | 15s | Zinc Developments | a—A

Those floor plans are atrocious. Goes with the rest of the building tbh.
  3. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Riverside-Leslieville Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Yeah that kinda really sucks tbh, I get why they'd be upset.
  4. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Thorncliffe Park Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

It doesn't look like it from the link, but I'd hope they'd at least consider if they're putting the money in to building a new bridge they can at least have a small part of it be a pedestrian deck. Pedestrian infrastructure costs peanuts compared to other modes and there can always be more...
  5. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Queen Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

I mean Westminster Tube Station uses a fair number of escalators, so it isn't THAT "embarrassing".
  6. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: King-Bathurst Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Lol, I'm not actually pining the loss of EFS, just a funny bit of lesser-known trivia. I AM pining the loss of Banknote and a good use of a corner property.
  7. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Science Centre Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

All the people in London who accidentally go to Wembley Central tube station to get to the stadium will relate.
  8. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Science Centre Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

And then have to rename the still very new ECLRT station too?
  9. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Riverside-Leslieville Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Well this one will be convenient to go to Saulter Street Brewery.
  10. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Pape Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. This would be as baffling as some of the ECLRT station decisions. If the London Underground can incorporate station entrances while maintaining good unbroken retail stretches in the 1800s we can in the 2020s.
  11. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: King-Bathurst Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Really not a fan of this one. Taking one of the more lively stretches of King and removing a pretty decent corner pub (and the world famous club where Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia got in a fight and was kicked out, leading to him going to rehab mid-season).
  12. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Exhibition Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

...and you'll still have to walk halfway back to Strachan to get on the 509/511 streetcars.
  13. Red October

    Toronto Ontario Line: Queen Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

A subway station at Yonge and Queen, what a time to be alive... I can't believe they didn't think to use the already partially-constructed E-W platform at Queen Station. If only they knew it was there.
  14. Red October

    Toronto 49-51 Yonge Street | 216.36m | 62s | SmartCentres | a—A

This proposal makes me think of cordyceps. The building itself is fine in some other spot in the city, but here? Cordyceps.
  15. Red October

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Ah, I see the more reddish accents on the left have been replaced by the MCU colour palate as well.
  16. Red October

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Now the city just has to keep it clean. (glances over at Puente de Luz)
