The structure is a little clumsy, both in placement and size. Those two entrance columns are too heavy, and the column in the lobby is badly placed and heavy. Anyone know who did the structural design on this? Architect should have wrangled that better.

Hyatt isn't long for this world (thank goodness). That's a two tower site. Can't be making much money compared to the land value. Anyways it was bought in 2005 by King Street Enterprises Ltd. for $107,000,000.
Mediocre architecture. Disappointing from aA. Though the massing seems designed as an opening move for ZBA negotiations rather than a fully baked design. However this will have to change with the designations of 2430 & 2434-2436 Yonge St. at Council today.
