    East Don Trail Project

It would be great if one section of panelling was left out, to provide that unsanctioned access you reference. This happened further up the trail and provides a way to walk out into the forest along the meandering river. If it's not, I imagine someone will do it anyways. The connection near...

The component parts of the ramp have been delivered to site, but nothing assembled as of Monday.

    Torontos Closed/Abandoned Trails

As a user of this trail, the characterization of the problem being erosion, from a singletrack walking/bike trail, seems like an exaggeration of what actaully cause erosion on a slope of that size. I know where the trail originates off the Bloor Viaduct until just past Chester Hill was a very...

    East Don Trail Project

Based on the time it took for the north side of the bridge ramp to be completed, and then how quickly they paved from the tunnel to the bridge, they probably still have time to get it done, but if winter sets in laying ashphalt may be tough, though I'm no expert. None the less, the bridge will...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Any idea on what happens between Yonge and Bay where The Esplanade current ends? It's all a part of the CIBC Square construction site at the moment, but does it eventually turn into a space where one could cycle to Bay, and Union station direct?

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I don't use the Gardiner often, have they started the next phase (3 of 7) Humber to 427? And also, any idea on when phase 4 starts, the Grand Magazine to York section? The website isn't super up to date...

Without knowing how to search for this, when is the section of Danforth from Broadview to Pape scheduled for a permanent rebuild? I imagine this has to do with overall road resurfacing and longer term schedules. Just curious. Also, another photo of the lower Don trail Dundas staircase from...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Work has resumed on the lower Don Trail today. Obviously not great to have missed the opportunity to work in what was a perfect month of September, but the manufacturing of the steel for the northern ramp was delayed according to someone working on site. I imagine coordinating trades was also...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

The new multi use path across the Don Valley on the Eastern Ave. bridge is now partially in use. The temporary sidewalk/bike lane was flipped from the traffic side, to the proper south side of the bridge. Work continues on rebar and pouring a concrete divider. The path is 4m wide according to...

    East Don Trail Project

The north side bridge approach is all installed on footings. They need to weld on the planks and sides. Everything was staged to start the south side as seen in that photo. A bunch of work still to be done, but in the grand scheme of things, they are closing in on finishing this bridge...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

It is difficult to find a positive spin on the local bike lane project I received mail about today. The Logan/Carlaw bike lane construction will commence September 2nd and run until Sept 5th. The length of the project is a true testament to sad end result of this project. As the timeline...

Yes! I saw one crossing the path, a Northern Map I think. Also, biked down last night around 8pm just before the storm, this place is very photogenic.

    East Don Trail Project

Of note, the bridge at the southern most end of the East Don Trail has been gated and chained. It appears they are mobilizing to work on the balance of the trail south of the new tunnel. You can still access the trail via Taylor Massey Creek and some foot paths. The new grading and...

    Toronto Ookwemin Minising | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I got a chance to run the trails this morning, and this is place is truly remarkable. It is instantly one of the most spectacular outdoor spaces in the city. They even have some new fancy garbage and recycle cans, which I know folks on here will appreciate. To anyone involved...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

They have paved the multi use path on the south side of Lakeshore East past the Don Roadway to Carlaw. Still an interim condition, but nice to see it progressing. Council documents today show Lakeshore East reopening in December 2025, and the Don Roadway and paths opening this fall.
