I might be wrong but in theory, couldn't they add these as infill stations if they really wanted? I remember reading that even though the stations were dropped, they made sure the tracks were level in the spots where the stations would have been.
I believe they made the curve radius tighter to save money thinking the trains would still be able to go at the ideal speed. Turned out doing so caused a lot of additional maintenance so the solution was to put a permanent slow zone
The same thing happened last summer. Probably has to do with capacity limitations at the main terminals during the summer season.

The southbound from Summerhill RSZ is still there weeks after they removed it from the map for some reason.
The RSZ north from Bloor has been considerably shortened.
21 RSZ’s on the tracks, 21 RSZ’s, take one down pass it around, now there’s 22 RSZ’s on the tracks.

Honestly, since we know how the city has near non-existent coordination between projects, I'm willing to bet when they remove the bridge, the newly paved section will be ripped up or at least damaged.
