It's a magnificent and detailed report on a grand piece of Toronto's history.
Rarely do we see our history presented with so much concise information.
One of the many maps shows us the location of the baseball stadium once located just south of Dingman's Hall.

As an east-ender, I was particularly interested in this 1851 map which included the route that Winchester St. took (across the Don River) to reach the corner of Danforth and Broadview.

sorry, goldie, baxter street, which in your "now" photo is shown right beside the TCH headquarters, on the corner of yonge and aylmer, is too far north

i got the following map from nathan ng's fabulous Toronto Historic Maps --

If Gibson’s Lane was about halfway between Davenport Rd and Aylmer Ave., it would have gone right through Fellowship Towers, I think. Some of the houses on the east side of Yonge north of Gibson’s Lane are still there.

I believe the ghost of Gibson's Lane is still discernable through the property line at the N end of the Canadian Tire/Fellowship Towers rear parking (visible from the subway)
