Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

That is very true. It doesn't mean that they won't change things once the train arrives. That business starting up and then evaluating whether having someone there to open their doors to allow a waiting room (and food) is right now up to them.

With the opening of the Northlander, there are a lot of things that are"we shall see". This station status is one of those many things.
Considering what VIA Rail provides in terms of shelters (or there lack of) in places like Armstrong, Gogama, Longlac, Missanabie, Redditt, and White River, I think Northlander passengers should appreciate that the government is providing some enclosed, climate controlled shelter (with real time update screens) at all intermediate stops along the route.

Even in places along the Corridor, like Gananoque. I am not saying anyone must do anything, just that if it can be done, then lets see if it can be done.

If you are on Facebook, look for the group Ontario Northland Railway - Newmarket Sub.
They have a play by play of the movement. Should be in North Bay around 5pm.
My source says confirmed for 1630. It was originally supposed to be 1430 (it was originally originally supposed to be yesterday).. I can't get back into town so will have to read about it in the paper.

I am thinking of taking a drive later this week to see it in the yard.

I don't know if it is staying. It might be, but this is being described as a test run, so who knows. Besides, it might be well buried to protect it from paint cans.
Well, by the end of the week, if it is not leaving, I will go and see it.
I have spots to legally see it.
Sadly,no more family that work there to ask for favours.
