TTC: Easier Access Phase III

With 11 hours to go until 2026, TTC meets its "late 2025" opening date promise for the Summerhill elevators.

You're a full on newsbreaker! LOL

The TTC hasn't announced that yet. Not on social, not on the project page!

From Steve Munro's blog - Easier Access Phase III Service Changes taking effect on Sunday, February 8.

The 31 Greenwood will be cut back from Coxwell Station to Greenwood Station. I haven't seen anything about Greenwood's elevators being in service yet... has anyone been by recently?

The 149 will be cut back to Jane Station as High Park Station is accessible.

The elevators at Greenwood were not operating when I was there last night. They did look very, very close, but there was at least some work outstanding.

I am there twice a week.

They are well underway and I have no doubt they are ready. They have been doing tile work for the past couple weeks and took down hoarding. When I was there yesterday, the corridor on the concourse leading to the elevators looked ready to go as well.

Effective February 8, 2026

Service on the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor will be removed between High Park Station and Jane Station due to the completion of Easier Access construction at High Park Station.

Service will still operate between Kipling Station and Jane Station to provide accessible connections to Old Mill Station and Islington Station.

Wonder if the old 149 service would be reinstated should elevators be out-of-service for maintenance or mischief?

Looks like Greenwood will be the next accessible station to open. Five more to go excluding Old Mill.

Wonder which of the remaining five - College, Islington, King, Museum, and Spadina (Line 1) - will be done next? The posters for Spadina suggest end of this year.

If I had to fathom a guess, Museum. It is well underway at the moment.

Here's the dates I found on the TTC website:
College mid 2026: https://www.ttc.ca/about-the-ttc/projects-and-plans/College-Station
Museum Q3 2026: https://www.ttc.ca/about-the-ttc/projects-and-plans/Museum
Spadina Q3 2026: https://www.ttc.ca/about-the-ttc/projects-and-plans/Spadina
Islington Q4 2026: https://cdn.ttc.ca/-/media/Files/Islington-Station-PIC-Slides---January-28-2026.pdf (pg.20)
King Q4 2026: https://cdn.ttc.ca/-/media/King-Station-Easier-Access-pre-construction-public-update-Final.pdf (pg. 3)

I'd guess College since mid sounds like it could be before Q3, but it would likely be one of College, Museum or Spadina unless they all come in late.

Edit to add:
Also, College was more advanced according to the 2025 Accessibility Plan Status Report, though that data is from back in July 2025. I'd also note that looking back, those that were completed didn't end up opening in order of completeness, as an example Lawrence and Summerhill ended up coming in ahead of Greenwood despite the latter being more advanced.

Report can be found here: https://cdn.ttc.ca/-/media/Project/...ity/2025-Accessibility-Plan-Status-Report.pdf (pg. 22)

It's really mystifying. Honestly it's not hard to get relatively close matching coloured tiles, this is just pure lazy work and a lack of care to even try.
Especially when TTC does do just this. I'm not sure how much is routine ongoing maintenance, but the second entrance and elevators at Woodbine used extensive quantities of matching tile - including some replacement tiling on parts of the platform and elsewhere.

There was certainly work done at Victoria Park as well when they rebuilt the bus bay and put the windows on the platform.
