Lakeshore West trains will run on a 30-minute schedule between Niagara Falls and Oakville GO. During the morning and evening rush hours, GO buses will run between Oakville and Clarkson GO to Erindale GO for customers connecting with the Milton line trains.

Outside of the morning and evening rush hours, GO buses will run between Oakville and Clarkson GO to Bramalea GO for customers connecting to Kitchener line trains.

There will be no GO Transit service at Port Credit, Long Branch, or west from Mimico GO, please consider local transit options. Special trains will run between Mimico GO and Union Station.

If you are travelling between Erindale GO and Union Station: GO trains depart Erindale GO every fifteen minutes between 6:55 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. In the evening, trains from Union Station to Erindale GO depart every fifteen minutes, between 4:10 p.m. and 5:25 p.m. and half hourly between 5:25 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. Please remember to check departure boards for the Milton Line train to Erindale GO. If you are travelling between Bramalea GO and Union Station: GO trains depart Bramalea GO very regularly throughout the day. Trains from Union Station to Bramalea GO depart every half hour, throughout most of the day. Please remember to check departure boards for the Kitchener line train to Bramalea GO. Looks like on Monday November 3 there will be 2 extra morning trains and 2 extra evening trains on the Milton line, an increase due to the Lakeshore West construction closure. With 24 trains total, this will be (pathetically) a new record high of daily service.

Just out of curiosity I just bounced over to the reservations site. It does not allow for any tickets for Toronto-Oakville on Monday November 3rd.

My test was London-Toronto and it was showing the normal running time.

I am guessing it's the repeated deferred plans for closures for the Blue Jays games, and they now finally want to finally finish off whatever it is they are working on (probably the bridges) before they get into the winter and weather conditions deteriorate.

It's the Etobicoke Creek bridge replacement I think, to be specific. See these posts in the GO construction thread from last week:

Metrolinx has also given an update on the Etobicoke Creek bridge on the Lakeshore West Line.

"The Etobicoke Creek Trail under the bridge will be closed from November 28th until December 22nd. The closure is required to accommodate increased crew size, additional equipment and multiple work areas. The closure may extend longer than December 22nd depending on progress. An update will be provided closer to the aforementioned date.
There will be daytime and overnight work 24 hours a day on the following upcoming weekends: Nov 28-Dec 2, Dec 5-8 and Dec 19-22."

It sounds like they're scrambling to make up for lost time.

That's exactly what they're doing.

They're even considering having a mid-week closure of the Lakeshore West line - that's how bad things are. All options are on the table.

What else can they do? They've really pushed their luck by not having the original closures as planned.

We have WFH options these days. If commuters can't commute, what can the businesses do? Force them to take a helicopter? Commuters can survive a single day closure, even if they're technically required to be in the office 5 days a week.

I think the issue is a lack of communication on this based on an assumption everyone is terminally online and following every update they make.
I shared it this morning on our general all-office Teams chat and a few people have already popped in to say they had no idea it was happening.

There's going to be a lot of people who show up to Lakeshore West stations on Monday with no clue this sudden change is happening.

It's insane. It speaks plenty about the priorities of a provincial agency that put the needs to occasional users before daily users. The cherry on that cake has got to be the late notice.
