There needs to be some serious calling out to find out whether the extension will start construction this year. It's been taking way too long, while the $150M price tag is dubious.

The map is of the existing rail path not the extension.
On a related note, the Metrolinx website has been scrubbed of all the Railpath notices and the CLC presentations recently. Not sure why they did that. Where did you see this map posted?

Any updates on this? Construction was supposed to start by now before some politicians said it was too expensive and now it seems the project has stopped completely without updates.

Railpath bridge (the upper one where Dundas/Annette/Dupont meet) is now closed - ETA December 2025.

I know it's a temporary solution but the pedestrian walkway along Annette/Dupont under that bridge is a biohazard. The ammonia-like stench and number of dead pigeons under that bridge makes it very difficult to breathe, not to mention the blind corners and how dark and unsafe it feels at night. I filed a 311 to have a look at addressing it, so we'll see...

A small update/upgrade: the south sidewalk of Dupont is back to being open, and freshly painted (for now). Hurray! I also noticed they repainted the half of the bridge that's complete, along with the lettering. Bridge segment still not open to peds though.

The City of Toronto has finalized the design details for extending the West Toronto Railpath multi-use trail south, from Dundas Street West at Sterling Road to Abell Street at Sudbury Street. This multi-use trail will be routed adjacent to the Kitchener GO Rail Corridor.
