Response from Metrolinx’s CEO to My Letter
Earlier this week, I received a response from the CEO of Metrolinx. While the response provided slightly more information, many important questions remain unanswered.
They informed me that work on the Birchmount Bridge replacement project at Danforth Ave means that the existing third track will have to be taken out of service. It is disappointing that this work did not start sooner and part of the reason why I am pressing for clear and transparent timelines.
The CEO did not provide more details on the remaining work and timelines for the East Harbour Transit Hub and Ontario Line work that is preventing express service to return. We deserve clarity. The lack of transparency from Metrolinx continues to erode public confidence.
