Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

That article makes everybody who works for the city look like a bunch of clowns, and Brad Bradford like a real jackass.

Not everyone who works for the City; everyone who works for Parks and Rec. who touched this file.

And yes, that's about right.

There were comms and procurement people too! But it seems everybody involved seems to think it's just fine to jerk around people who want to run small businesses and make the city better, then lie and stonewall about it when asked questions.
What do they care? They're cozily entrenched in an unaccountable bureaucracy.

Almost half of Toronto’s winter sidewalk clearing equipment not operational during February snowfall

the report has revealed that of the 59 pieces of sidewalk clearing equipment owned and operated by Transportation Services, only 34 were operational on Feb. 8, the first day of snow, 36 pieces on Feb. 12 and 26 on Feb. 15.

The Universal Student Food Program expansion was before Council today..........it was approved..........but with an amendment from the Mayor, who is very much this program's champion.

She added an extra 5M to this year's budget paid for with under spending from last year's budget...... in order to add more schools.

Of Course, Cllr Holday was opposed. LOL

Please not processing food products, like hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, soft drinks, etc.. Have locally grown foods. Choice of meats or plant-based alternatives, apples, trail mixes, eggs, milk or plant-based alternatives, fruit juices, etc.. Look to Europe or Asia for examples, not USA.

The program has existed for a long time now Walter.

The standards aren't changing.

They can be found here:

True, but I would expect some fiscal conservative councillors will be looking at how to "save" money by procuring the "cheapest" food available.

I have never been a fan of Olivia Chow, but I saw her appearance on Friday on the set of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" in New York where she discussed the impact of Trumps tariffs, and I thought she did a GREAT job of not only representing Toronto but also representing Canada. Very impactful.

Will that be today and tonight's excuse?

There's not much that will have changed in a few weeks.

Council only gave direction on some changes last week.

No snow accumulation (for any length of time) is expected today, as this turns to rain over night and is set to get warm tomorrow.

Looks like a large power outage has hit the financial district again today.
Looks like it is the area east of York Street through at least to Yonge.
Not sure how far north-south of King it goes.
