Oh absolutely. They are finally backfilling all of the excavation around Yonge and Eglinton now.There’s definitely work happening underground at Eglinton that wasn’t happening last year. There’s crews visibly working along the street at the open sections almost everyday and machinery moving in and outs beyond station finishing and signage.
But last year, they were forming and pouring concrete into those voids. Only once that was done could they get to the backfilling.
But everywhere else on the line, now, they're doing the final touches, not the intensive construction of earlier in the project. Planting trees, installing the final bits of signage and cleaning the stations are not things that you do while you're still doing electrical work, plumbing, tiling, etc.
