This is the small park, parallel to and just east of Yonge, sitting atop the subway tunnel, between Dundonald and Gloucester.

Its the most southerly of 3 parks all atop the subway; all due for revitalization.

Well, this one is just about done its facelift, give or take the lot acquired to add to it, on which they haven't gotten must past demolition.

Planting program is set for spring.

Photos take January 25th, 2021:

This is the currently vacant lot next door which was acquired to add to this park. The home was demolished, and the site has been staked, but the rest of the park improvements are pending:

Finally, back to the north end, to observe that the park has been extending into Gloucester in the form of a pinch point.

Good to see! And good to see the new Wellesley entrance open, and situated well for the park. I used to walk through here occasionally from Yonge, to get to Wellesley station - so nice to walk through a couple of blocks of park. Looks even more convenient now!

I pretty much love anything corten. Thanks for the tour.

Do we know if the arches are supposed to represent anything? Or just simply a nice design element?

You're welcome.

And I don't recall, its from the Janet Rosenberg Masterplan for the 3 Yonge Parks in this section in 2017.

PMA are now handling the details on the remaining parks, but within the Masterplan lens, I gather.

I know I read the original plan, but can't seem to find it atm.
