Sadly, I think the combination of the OMB rail corridor setback decision and the fact that the gas station site is contaminated has probably sterilized it for the foreseeable future, though it would indeed be lovely to see it go. I also cringe every time I go past the huge surface parking lot at the LCBO.

As a Davenportonian growing up through the years, the Blinds to Go site east of Bedford still remains on my to-be-developed wishlist, but that seems to be hanging in there status quo. Maybe someday.

It's kind of absurd to see dreck like Blinds to Go on Davenport or that strip mall where Davenport turns into Church Street. It's some of the most expensive land in the country, yet it's used for free surface parking and generic single-storey retail buildings like in the suburbs.

Without a doubt, the LCBO building + associated parking lot are cringeworthy.
