GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I've said it before, but it's most likely that both RER and SmartTrack are project/working names. Much like how the Air-rail Link became the UP Express and Acceleride in Brampton became Zum, there will be a new name once construction is about halfway complete. IIRC someone on here suggested GO ReX (short for Regional Express).

HSR: GO Fast
Inner RER: GO Frequent
Commuter/Outer RER: GO Home?

The "GO Fast" beverages company would like to have a word with you....

I didn't know about them but it's hardly a trademark violation.

These are the categories they registered for:
  • 5 - Pharmaceuticals and herbicides
  • 16 - Paper and printed goods
  • 25 - Clothing, footwear, headgear
  • 30 - Staple foods
  • 32 - Beer and non-alcoholic beverages

Passenger train services seem a fairly safe use provided the bar-cart does not sell a self-branded wine or something.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know what track the Niagara GO trains will be using this year. Generally they use the same track every weekend which I think was Track 9 last year.

Sell the naming rights to the Trump Organization and call it the Trump Train. Maybe the name would be so unpopular that someone will spend $6 million to buy out the naming rights too, just like with the hotel/tower downtown.

Maybe Ozzy Osborne can buy the rights and call it the Crazy Train?

This month's Service Changes are now appearing on the GO website.

Seems pretty minor this time around: Extension of LSW trains, some new bus trips and some bus schedule tweaking.

Was hoping to see more train service that has been discussed here on UT: Weekend service on Stouffville, and conversion of some dead-head trips to revenue service as some examples.

Any new timeline to those? Or are they off the table in the current environment?
