Yes it is, thank you very much. One wonders why 4grand and CGM aren't all over it?

Ha, wow, It's been 6 years since you made that comment and I'm only reading it now!

I'm sure everyone on these boards who values cheap-modern-aesthetics such as steel siding, plastic tiling and green glass will nearly vomit at this development, but I drive by it everyday and I think it's turned out well.

Of course the stucco trimming everywhere is terrible and cheap looking. Plaster would have been much better. And of course, they cheaped out on the nice, tin/copper roofs that they had originally planned and instead just went with more creamy stucco, which is terrible.

Having said all of that, it's still a good looking project, and it won't look like a futuristic-dystopic-factory for decades to come, like a lot of developments in this city.

Perhaps not a 'futuristic-dystopic-dactory' but a 'depressing pastiche anachronism' nevertheless.

Ha, that's not bad actually.

Look, I realize that this design is harking back hundreds of years to a style that is no longer contemporary, but so what?

I am not against current architecture, I just find that most current architecture lacks character and style, simply because glass boxes are "in" right now and are much cheaper to build, since it's all right angles, steel frames, and greenish glass.

I'm not against most Cityplace buildings, as I feel they are a good representation of early 2000's architecture, and they're designed well, spaced well, and built well. Matrix and Optima are by all means, my least favourite.
