Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Their burgers sure. I've been living off of their coffee and breakfast sandwiches for months now. They are both much superior to Tim Horton's.

As for Leaside high schoolers, they have a Tim's across the street now, and always had delicious pizza at Metro across the street too.

Nothing at Mc'D's beats a Timmies biscuit though... Just sayin.

Just like the motion to make the Scarborough subway and cancel Sheppard east and Finch the first time. Until I see a concrete plan with
boots on the ground and over 60% complete, all that has happened are politicians blowing hot air.

Maybe but it is a lot less money to make the eglinton extensions and it can be done a lot faster than the danforth extension meaning it is more likely to happen in my mind.

Two Crosstown related motions:
1. Councillor Mihevic has moved a motion to expedite Crosstown West and East to be complete by 2021.
2. TTC Chair and Councillor Carroll has moved a motion to connect the ECLRT to FWLRT via Pearson Airport.
#1 how is it possible for the east and west to be completed at the same time as the middle portion yet Metrolinx did not insist on contractor starting station construction in the West end when the tunnelling got to at least Eglinton west
#2. So that means Crosstown west connects to Pearson and then LRT is able to continue along same tracks along Finch or does it mean that passengers will be able to get off at Pearson and easily transfer to Finch from the Crosstown West?
3. Why not pass a notion to work on stations 24/7?

Would make things a lot easier operationally if they cut the route short.

Probably because surface stop construction hasn't started, and will take about the same time vs. underground stations?

At least ECLRT WEST and EAST have an EA already complete from Transit City days.

Will just need some updating.

Would like to have some amendments made to Eglington West though. Because of the traffic congestion in the Martin Grove & Eglinton West intersection, it should be better that the light rail right-of-way go below grade at that intersection, with a stop at the southwest corner. It could continue west of Martin Grove at grade on the south side to at least the East Mall, but preferably on the south side of Eglinton to Renforth, so that residents on the south side of Eglinton have better access. The north side of Eglinton is mostly the 401/427 intersection.
