Leadership changes have been announced at the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD), with the Greater Toronto Area industry group confirming new appointments to its Board of Directors for 2026. Jason Sheldon of Remington Group has been named Chair of the Board for the remainder of the year, joined by Remo Agostino of The Daniels Corporation as Vice Chair, while Cheryl Shindruk of Geranium will continue her involvement with the association in the role of Past Chair. The appointments position several long-standing industry leaders within BILD’s governance structure as the organization continues its advocacy work.

Sheldon, an executive with Remington Group, will serve as Chair of BILD’s Board for the remainder of 2026. In this role, he will lead the association’s volunteer board as it oversees governance and helps set priorities for the organization’s work across the Greater Toronto Area’s home building, land development, and renovation sectors.

Shindruk of Geranium will remain involved in the association’s leadership as Past Chair, returning to the Board in that capacity for the balance of the year. The role provides continuity within the organization’s governance structure, drawing on Shindruk’s experience from her recent tenure leading the Board while supporting the transition to the new leadership team.

Agostino of The Daniels Corporation has been appointed Vice Chair of the Board, adding another senior industry voice to BILD’s leadership team. In the position, he will work alongside the Chair and fellow directors as the Board guides the association’s activities and policy advocacy across the region’s development and construction sector.

Two members will continue in their existing governance positions on the Board. Leor Margulies of Robins Appleby LLP remains Secretary, while Hessam Ghadaki of Times Group continues in the role of Treasurer.

“BILD is fortunate to benefit from an exceptional Board of Directors,” said BILD President and CEO David Wilkes. “Our association is only as strong as the dedication and expertise of our members, and we are deeply grateful to the individuals who volunteer their time and leadership to guide our work. I want to thank Jason, Cheryl, Remo, Leor, and Hessam – as well as the entire Board – for their continued commitment to our industry.”

The Board of Directors provides oversight for the association’s activities and helps shape its strategic direction, representing the interests of companies involved in residential construction, land development, and professional renovation across the Greater Toronto Area. Directors are drawn from BILD member firms and take part in guiding the organization’s advocacy and industry initiatives.
