When marketing a condominium development in one of Toronto's oldest and liveliest neighbourhoods, what better than to name the project for the neighbourhood itself? That's the thinking at Cityzen and Fernbrook's St. Lawrence Condos, a 26-storey, architectsAlliance-designed paired condo development at the northwest corner of Front and Sherbourne Streets. Marked by an eye-catching red awning, a new presentation centre for the development has now opened across Frederick Street from the site at 132 Front Street East.
Stepping inside, guests are greeted by an open-concept space featuring interiors appointed by Sylvia Min of Guidelines Advertising's interior design division. Exposed ductwork and pipes reference the area's industrial roots, while the space's wood finishes and terrazzo flooring work together to create a textured, inviting environment. Beyond reception, boards display building and neighbourhood amenities, with a scale model of St. Lawrence Condos acting as the centrepiece of the room.
The scale model allows prospective buyers to get a feel for where units they are interested in are located within the development, and provides clues to what the views might be like.
Deeper in the presentation centre, steps and a ramp lead to an area to review suite layouts and go over information. Multiple video display screens mounted on the wood-panelled walls are there to show off the project.
The same space also features a selection of finish packages purchasers can choose from, each boasting a complementary palette of natural tones, with a name evoking the neighbourhood's heritage.
The presentation centre also boasts a 742 ft2 model suite of one of the project's two-bedroom layouts. As with the scale model, we will return with fuller looks at these features in future articles.
