In Toronto's Leslieville area, George Condos and Towns is set to contribute new urban density to Queen Street East. Located a little east of Leslie Street, the Rockport Group development will add 88 residential suites to the popular neighbourhood, with new ground-level retail set to animate the streetscape.

Named for famed horticulturalist George Lesliefrom whom the street and neighbourhood also takes their namesthe 8-storey development is designed by Toronto-based RAW. Now being marketed, the project targets a Fall 2018 completion. Renderings depict a contemporary design with a distinctive brick frontage, integrating the new development with the neighbourhood's established character.

Featuring interiors by Mike Niven Interior Design Inc., the mid-rise development will feature a mix of condominium suites and townhomes, with 8 modern towns ranging in size from 1981 ft² to 2,224 ft². Meanwhile, with the project's one, two, and three bedroom suites ranging in size from 530 ft² to 1,467 ft², George Condos provides relatively spacious configurations, and 9' and 10' ceilings will contribute to an open interior ambiance.

Each of the 88 residences will also feature ample outdoor space, with an in-built BBQ provided as part of each suite's private outdoor area. Referred to as 'Urban Yards,' these private areas promise the type of outdoor space that's rarely found in Toronto's condo market. Although the project provides a boutique condominium scale, residents will be able to enjoy a number of communal amenities, including a gym, a pet washing station, and a showpiece rooftop terrace (below).
