The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced an upcoming panel discussion on disruptive technologies, to be held on November 3rd at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Part of the ULI's Toronto Symposium, the event is titled "Transforming Our Future: How Disruptive is Disruptive Technology," the early-morning event will explore the impact of new, economically disruptive technologies on the urban landscape.

Featuring a panel discussion led by Toronto's Chief City Planner, Jennifer Keesmaat, the event will feature input from representatives of some of today's most influential tech firms. The panel will consist of Twitter Canada's Head of Government Partnerships, Steve Laudarantaye, Google Canada's Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, Colin McKay, and Airbnb's Canadian 'Country Manager,' Air Zifkin. Investigating the evolving interstice between technology and daily urban life, the discussion will explore the extent to which technologies "transform how we design, build, and operate cities."

The event will be held from 7:15 to 9:30 AM, with the panel discussion beginning at 8, following registration and a light breakfast. The last day for registrations is October 27th, and more information is available at toronto.uli.org
