Sherbourne Common is an important public space in the burgeoning East Bayfront community on Toronto's waterfront. This large 1.5 hectare park offers plenty of interesting features, including a water channel with three large sculptures, and a zinc-clad pavilion which was designed by Teeple Architects. This unique structure, located in the centre of the park, was awarded with an Award of Merit from the 2009 Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence. In today's Photo of the Day, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Randy Hoffmann, we are shown an impressive nighttime shot of the pavilion, showing off the building's unconventional shape.
