The Freedom Arches over the reflecting pond at Nathan Phillips Square were an original feature in Viljo Revell's architectural landmark, but it was only in 1989 that they were officially given named. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Empty Quarter, we are treated to a super-wide angle shot from below the centre arch, with both new and old City Hall visible in the background.
